Application Process for Emerging Entrepreneurs

Emerging Entrepreneurs must complete ALL mandatory steps in order to apply for a Trunkwish(TM) Gift Registry.

  • Completed Business Plan
    NBTP will help connect 'Emerging Entrepreneurs' ('EE's) with small business development centers and neighborhood community agencies that will assist the 'EE' with the completion of their plan.

  • Completed Marketing Plan
    Again, EE's can receive assistance with this step.

  • Completed Cash Flow Projections
    EE's can receive assistance from a financial coach.

  • Articles of Incorporation
    Visit Illinois Secretary of State to incorporate a new business.

  • Federal EIN
    Visit IRS.gov after incorporating your business with the state.

  • Business Bank Account
    The 'EE' can work with the community banks or credit unions within the NBTP community or choose their own financial institution.

  • Tax ID Number
    Visit the Illinois Department of Revenue either online or in person.
